Plymouth Minerals Limited
Focussed on delivering a mid-tier tungsten producer in Europe
Plymouth Minerals Limited (“PLH”, “Plymouth”, “Company”) is a focussed, brownfields tungsten and tin exploration company with a near-term production target at its Morille Project in Spain. The Company has acquired an 80% interest in a contiguous 57km2 package of tenements in the mining-friendly Salamanca Province, Castilla y Leon Region, of central northern Spain in October 2013.
Morille (“Morille”, “Project”) represents an excellent opportunity for a modern and considered exploration programme to test an effectively unexplored brownfields mine camp.
Previous mining activity in the 1970’s and 80’s stopped abruptly in 1986 due to a rapid decline in the world price of tungsten as opposed to depletion of mineral resources. Over 20 separate mining operations (small to medium scale) operated, with ore being treated in at least 2 separate production plants within the current tenure. Typical land title was 10 hectares (Ha) and the Project now covers ~5,700Ha.
Morille is located in a significant tungsten producing region. Nearby operations and development projects include Los Santos (Almonty Industries) 30km to the south, and Barruecoparda (Ormonde Mining PLC) 75km to the west.
With only 12 drillholes (1979) completed in the Project area, and no coherent mine planning during mining, there is excellent exploration potential.
Morille is the ideal springboard for corporate and organic growth in the region. Plymouth has the people and the strategy to become of mid-tier tungsten player.
